Starting a New Life

Sarah insisted on taking me dress shopping today so I obliged. Charlie’s mother had come by and insisted that I use her credit card to buy the dress and anything wedding related, let’s just say there was no refusing her.

I was dressed and waiting for Sarah around noon since she had class early in the morning. I was peacefully watching my favorite cooking show when there was aloud rapping at my door, Sarah doesn’t usually knock like that so I didn’t think it was her.

“I’m coming!” I called but the knocking didn’t stop.

“Why on earth are you-“I was cut off by Sarah jumping into my arms and screaming.

“What is going on?” I tried to pull her away from me so she could explain but she as so hysterical I honestly couldn’t tell if she was laughing or crying.

“Oh Breanna.” She gasped and fell down onto the couch in a daze.

“What?” I screamed and shook her back down to earth.

“I just had the best sex of my life.” She finally said. I was so confused, sex never does this to her.

“With who? You’re acting like you’ve have had sex with a celebrity.” She giggled like a school girl again.

“With Daniel.”

“What?” I was so confused, he hasn’t spoken to her in months.

“He showed up at my apartment this morning saying all the things anyone would want to hear and I was just- oh my God.” She recalled the memory.

“What did he say?” She was being so vague with me.

“Well first he begged me to let him in and I wasn’t going to but he just looked- he looked like I felt the day he walked away from me so I let him and he begged me to hear him out so I did. I wasn’t expecting to forgive him but he said anyone that’s ever said they love him has just- betrayed him or hurt him and he was scared but then he said he missed me so much and that he loves me too. At first I didn’t buy it but then I really thought about it. It’s not like he started seeing someone else after that happened, I didn’t either. So I decided to give him a chance and a chance turned into sex so good that we fell asleep and missed class.” She explained in one breath of air.

“Wow- Sarah this is great, you must be so happy.” I smiled at her. Her smile was so wide I thought her skin would tear.

“I know- and I am. I was so worried and sad and now I just- I can’t imagine life without him.”

“I know the feeling.” Except I wasn’t thinking of Charlie, I was thinking of Josh.

“You don’t want to spend time with him?”

“No, today’s our day. Don’t think you’re getting out of shopping that easy.” She taunted. I sighed heavily, I really don’t like shopping, especially not dress shopping.

“Okay, I’ll get my jacket then.” The weather has started to cool down a lot more so I grabbed a light sweater from my closet and we were on our way.
